Shaikh Haitham

Haitham al-Haddad is a London-based Islamic Scholar and prominent Muslim community leader. He was born and raised in Saudi Arabia. Shaikh Haitham sits on the board of advisors for a number of key Islamic organisations in the United Kingdom including the Islamic Sharia Council and currently holds the position of chair and operations advisor for the Muslim Research and Development Foundation (MRDF). He has studied for a number of decades and gained proficiency in many Islamic sciences under the tutelage of world-renown scholars such as Shaikh Ibn Baz, Shaikh Ibn Jibreen and Shaikh Ibn Aqeel. Shaykh Haitham holds a BSc Honours in Law and Sharia from Omdurman University in Khartoum, Sudan. He also holds a Bsc in Computer Science from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals (Saudi Arabia) and is currently reading his PHD in Islamic Law at SOAS in London. Shaykh Haitham is qualified to deliver religious verdicts. He is a specialist of Islamic Jurisprudence and its principles, Islamic law and Islamic finance. Ustadh Abu Rumaysah

Ustadh Abu Rumaysah Refi Shaafi was born and brought up in High Wycombe. He studies with Shaikh Haitham Al-Haddad and Shaikh Abu AbdiRahman Al-Libee. He graduated from Imperial College from the faculty of Computer Sciences. He is currently a Java Programmer Manager. He is the chairman for the WISE (Wycombe Islamic Society). He is very active in his local community especially with his Masjid and working with youth via Islamic Scouts He has translated a number of books such as The criterion between the friends of Allah and the friends of shaytan, The relief from distress (the dua of Yunus alayhisalam, both by Ibn Taymiyyah and many others. He has also written an explanation of Surah Al-Faatiha called ‘The spiritual cure.’ He currently gives weekly circles in High Wycombe and Watford.


Ustadh Fraz Farhat

Fraz Farhat was born in Pakistan, but was raised in the UK. He graduated in Engineering from the University of Leeds. In 2000, he successfully graduated from the University of Medina from the faculty of Sharia. He is currently studying with Shaikh Haitham al-Haddad and Shaikh Abu Adirahman Al-Libee and. He is a physics teacher by profession and he delivers weekly circles on sirah and tafseer in Tooting. He also appears on IslamicQA on Islam Channel and is an instructor for Al-Kauthar. He also translated the book ‘The three abandoned prayers’ by Shaykh Adnan Uroor.

Ustadh Wasim Kempson

Ustadh Wasim Kempson graduated from Madinah Islamic University (K.S.A) with a BA Hons in Shari'ah and specialises in the field of Fiqh and Aqeedah. He is currently teaching Aqeedah in various institutes in addition to holding lectures in the community. Wasim Kempson is extensively involved in local da’wah projects and has been for many years.

Ustadh Abu Talha

Abu Talha graduated from Madinah Islamic University (K.S.A) with a BA Hons in Shari'ah and specialises in the field of Fiqh and Islamic Law. During his study in Saudi Arabia, Abu Talha also learnt from the Scholars teaching in the Prophet's (Peace be upon him) Mosque. He is active in the field of dawah delivering courses for Tayibbun and other Islamic organisations.

Ustadh Farid Haibatain

Farid Haibatan graduated in Electronic Systems Engineering and holds a bachelors in Engineering (B.eng) from the University of Essex. After graduation Farid spent a number of years at the Islamic University in Madinah where he studied the Arabic Language and other religious sciences. Since his return from Madina, Farid has been involved in Islamic da'wah and has for many years taught the Arabic language and Islamic Studies. Farid has also translated Arabic books into the English Language some of which have become household names within the Muslim community such as Fortification of the Muslim through Remembrance and Supplication (Hisn al-Muslim). Farid currently works as an IT consultant and web developer. On a local level, He is part of SIAP, a community organisation that manages numerous projects and services for the local community both Muslim and non-Muslim. Although Farid plays a role in many areas of MRDF he currently manages MRDF’s websites including the islam21c site.


Ustadh Shaqur Rehman

Shaqur Rehman completed a PGCE along with an MA in Applied Linguistics with a dissertation on the clash of civilizations, a linguistic perspective – English in the Muslim world. He preceded his secular study with a traditional Islamic education beginning in Egypt in 1999-2001 which he further developed in Syria and Saudi Arabia whilst teaching English in various universities and institutions. During his Islamic learning he managed to memorise the Holy Quran and attain authorisation (Ijaza) in recitation and various Islamic sciences including theology and jurisprudence.

Shaikh Ahmad Barouni

Dr. Ahmad Barouni is the Principal and founder of
School of Arabic & Islamic Studies. Originally from Libya, he moved to Saudi Arabia in pursuit of Islamic Knowledge at the age of 19. He spent the next ten years in intensive study under a large number of scholars in the holy cities of Makkah and Madinah, eventually enrolling in the faculty of Hadith at the Islamic University of Madinah. He was amongst the top graduates for his year, graduating from the Islamic University of Madinah in 1996 from the faculty of Hadith. He also has numerous ijaazas in various Islamic Sciences. He recently completed his PhD doctorate in hadith studies at the Makhtoum Institute, University of Aberdeen.
