Introduction to the Maqra

As part of MRDF’s ongoing involvement in the development of Muslims, Al Maqra’a (Intensive Reading in Arabic) program has been initiated for students of knowledge who have gained access into the Arabic language and have begun to study some of the Islamic sciences.

In association with iProgress, classic Arabic books, including the hadith literature are read by a group of students and checked by scholars – many of whom have attained Ijaaza in the text being read.

This type of reading is a traditional method adopted by many of the past Ulema. One of the aims of this programme is to facilitate the revision of sacred knowledge that has been preserved for over 1400 years.

These events are open to all serious students of knowledge and have a range of benefits, including spending weekends away with the shayook and covering classical Islamic texts that played such important parts in Islamic history.
